Senior Citizens Received Astrazeneca Vaccination

Tinglayan, Kalinga - MHO commenced the vaccination for Senior Citizens (A2 Priority List) last Monday, 17 May 2021.

After the successful inoculation for the second dose of Sinovac Vaccination for Healthworkers (A1 Priority List), MHO moves down the next line of priorities, senior citizens.

This time, Astrazeneca was used for vaccination. MHO currently has 10 vials at their disposal. Each vial can be used by 10 people.

Senior Citizens swarmed the vaccination place Monday afternoon upon receiving communication of vaccine availability.

Tinglayan, Kalinga - Flabbergasted by the overwhelming deaths in India as shown through social media, Tinglayan community begins to question effectivity of vaccine against Covid-19.

Previously in the health board meeting at Old Tinglayan last Tuesday, 4 May 2021, issues on trusting the vaccine arise due to the hot topic of massive deaths in India.

"How come there are still many deaths in India when there is already a vaccine? Why should we trust in the vaccine when we can survive through eating healthy and nutritious food", Eddie Gaayon, a local questioned.

Tinglayan, Kalinga - PDEA in coordination with MLGU Tinglayan conducted a workshop to facilitate accomplishment of documents to help barangays in Tinglayan District be recognized or declared as Drug Free Barangay last Wednesday, 5 May 2021.

Depending on the presence of users and pushers in the community, PDEA under the Community Based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP) classifies barangays into three (3) categories namely: Affected, Drug Cleared and Unaffected.

LGU Tinglayan's Responders in Sta. Maria, Isabela

A Distress call from our "KAILYAN" residing at St. Maria, Isabela, crying for help because they are on their rooftop with her kids due to flooding brought about by Typhoon Ulysses, prompted LGU Tinglayan to immediately assemble a Rescue Team and send them to help. They were equipped with Rescue Equipments from the PDRRMO of Kalinga. To their surprise, our Responders did not only rescued our Kailyans but also the residents of Sta. Maria. They became the Core Team of Sta. Maria's Rescue efforts as our responders have the capability.
